My name is Evan Oberdas, I’m the local Branch Manager of College Works Painting for the Stillwater area. I’m a student at UW-Stout, double majoring in Supply Chain Management and Business Administration, and I’m also a member of the Stout Track & Field team.All of our painters are professionally trained by Sherwin-Williams to ensure high-quality work. Through this internship, I’m developing valuable skills related to my field of study like management, communication, and leadership. How often should you paint the exterior of youre home?
You should paint youre home every 5 - 10 years. Weather exposure, condition of the wood, as well as the quality of the paint, can impact this timeline. It's like using sunscreen if you don't reapply after sitting in the sun for a while youre skin will peel. Just like the paint on youre home. It will peel if it isn't regularly painted. So regular maintenance should be taken to ensure its protection.
Do we do staining?
Yes we do, we can stain any wood surface. Decks, fences, doors, siding, trim. We have transparent semitransparent and solid stains
Do we work on lead painted homes?
Yes we do, we are EPA lead-certified. If youre home was built before 1978 we follow protocols to safely remove and dispose of all lead baised paint. Unless the homeowner has documentation saying there is no lead in the paint. Safety is our utmost priority so we ensure a safe work environment for workers and homeowners even after the job is complete.
What products do we use?
We use Sherwin-Williams products. Our paint choices are Super Paint, Duration, or Emerald Reiner Fresh. Ensuring the highest quality and durability for your home. Our primer is PrimeRX Auto-Leveling Peel Bond Primer. This primer helps secure the old paint edges by sucking them down and preventing future peeling from happening and improving adhesion. Its self-leveling abilities minimize level changes creating a smoother finish.
